I know its a long shot but does anybody have a food dehydrator they no longer need.
I would be very greatfull if someone could sell me one at a reasonable price as all the ones i have looked at are well out of my price range at over £50.
Wanted
I've been looking for a dehydrator for a while now as well, Tchico and QVC sometimes have some in for about £26. Westfalia also have one for around the same price, but I'm not sure if it's any good. I think I'm gonna make one myself with a couple of lightbulbs for winter and a reflector for the summer.

Never having used or seen a food dehydrator, I was intrigued so had a quick look around the web and found this;

bbc had some useful advice too, they also said you could use oven set on low but with door open, which sounds very wasteful to me. As the wattage on these is so low, about 250w it occurs to me they are about the same as a slowcooker. Has anyone tried using a slowcooker witht he lid left off? Perhaps a bamboo steamer basket could be put in one to make more tiers for food?
