Use for an old bicyle?

Suggestions please
We in herited an old one when we bought this place, it is quite an attractive bike, but well beyond repair - rusty, no chain, would need a complete strip down, re-spray, new brakes, tyres etc, I guess it is maybe 50 years old.

Can anyone think of any use for it? I can only think of possible letting a climber climb through it if I tack it up on the fence.

It could do, though I got given an electric one a few months ago, so I don't need one - need to learn how to use it though.

I photocopied some pages out of a book called "Cloudburst 1" years ago and in it are instructions for making a spinning wheel hased around a bicycle wheel with the rest of the components being wooden (called a Lesotho wheel). Also in John Mercers book "The Spinner's Workshop" he provides a design also based around a bicycle wheel although his is more like an upright wheel whereas the lesotho wheel is of the more traditional type. I have also seen (somehwhere!) a spinning wheel design based on a bicycle wheel with the frame etc made out of PVC pipe.

I don't see why you couldn't make a spinning wheel which made more use of bicycle components, but the designs I have seen only used the wheel. Good thought though Stew!

That is not a bad idea, I could combine it with using it as a trelis as my first thought - hand a couple of hanging baskets off each handlebar and bobs your uncle!

Have a look at my avatar photo, I was going to do that very thing-and someone stole the bike!

I had planned to put bulbs in the basket and saddle bags, and have something creeping around the frame-so wherever you put it-lock it down, or you might lose it
