Hi Shelle and welcome. Whereabout in Australia are you? There are quite a few members here from Oz and NZ. We all get a bit mixed up when we are talking about the seasons!

Thanks for you warm welcome:)

Currently i am living in Port Macquarie, New South Wales.
http://www.portmacquarieinfo.com.au/pages1.asp?code=12
We have just recently relocated from Melbourne, Victoria.

My partner and I wanted to get out of the city atmosphere and prepare for what may happen next in the world. We want to get back to basics and become self sufficent.
sufficientnjoy translating and modifiying modifyingdge i find here to suit my surrounds:) But i can imagine it must get very confusing at times when talking about season issues we face around the globe.

Again thanks for welcoming me;)

Hi Shelle, and welcome to the site!

...yes, and when people say things like "we had a really hot day"! Up here in Scotland that means, anything even only slightly above 20 degree. In France, that would be about 35 degree, and in Australia above 40...

I worked in Victoria for 8 months, but on a farm. Had friends in Melbourne, and went there a few times. I thought it wasn't bad as far as cities go, but I'd always prefer the country, too!

Cheers
Ina

Hi ,
Is Port Maquarrie north of Lake Maquarrie ? Nearly bought a boat in Lake Macquarrie five years ago to sail back to Britain - then I chickened out and got a plane !
My Brother in law lives near - at Charmhaven. Had a great few months there when we visited .

Hi,
Port Macquarie, wow brings back a few memories. I was over there about 9 years ago. Lovely place.
