Not knocking Sheffield - only the size of my garden which is unfortunate - and yes that's a great job for the tourist board !! We have seen some of the lovely countryside around derbyshire. I was brought up in the country and I do really miss being out in the sticks but you live where the work is. We used to live in East Yorkshire and I loved to go for walks on the beach with my dog so I do miss that but on the plus side I live near RotherValley park and enjoy the walks around there in the evening.
So being new to the area I have quite a lot to find out. Must look up that Venison farm you mentioned.

On subject of cheese I knew a lady out near Driffield East Yorkshire who made and sold Goats cheese and she said the procedure was very simple and that contrary to popular belief goats are not smelly so maybe you could consider a couple of goats if you have room for them.

I am a neighbor to the south in the US, Southern New Jersey. My children want to move to Canada when they grow up. They have seen pictures and simply love it. A bit too long of winters for my liking but I hear Perth is absolutely beautiful. Friends just came back from visiting family and showed me lots of photos.

Thanks cyndeelouwho1972. You folks south of the border often seem to have worse weather than we do. Our prayers are with all of you displaced southern folks. It is just heart breaking to see the devastion a hurricane can do & most particularily this one. Sorry folks that I haven't posted much lately been spending my time watching the news. Just keeping body & soul together these days is a full time job.
