Im a Uni student in the northisland of New Zealand in the south pacific ocean

I've been brought up on a home orchard lifestyle block and love the conection to the land and the abbundenc it provides.
I look to the future with a curious mixture of anticipation, trepidation, cinacycsm and delight. Peak oil will provide new opportunities for decentralised and a more self reliant life i hope.
Although it is a wonderfull political straw man issue, climate change is now inevitable - china will not stop burning coal.
Luckily im on the upside of the effects of the warming - +2-4 degrees and more rain so i hope that in the fullness of time i will own land in common with many others and that we can make it, and thus ourselves flourish.
This would bring with it the opportunity to wax lyrical about the benifits of a non-consumer, non-capitalist decentralised lifestyle, but for now at least i shall limit myself

(spell check not workin and im dyslexic so forgive the errors!)
