Hi From NZ

Post: # 78796Post mrmushypeas »

Hi Everybody,

I been lurking for a while, and hopefully if I'm not too silly, you seem like you won't bite my head off, so I decided to post (even if I *am* Margo).

Living in a house in suburbia with a small veg plot. Recently decided to give the square foot gardening style a try.

Talk to you more again soon.

Yeah Gidday

Good onya mate. Great to see another Kiwi. Most here are poms with a few Aussies, but they aint too bad if you humour them.

But a central North Island city? Must be Taupo if that"s big enough to call a city.

Gidday

O.K. O.K. It's purdy hard to cover the full range in one sentence but I believe most are Poms, and there seems to be an increasing number of Aussies. But what the hell, they are a good bunch regardless where they are or come from.

Thanks for the welcome all.

I don't live in a city - can't really stand them, but i'm in a small town, by suburbia I mean I'm on a full size residential section and not in an apartment/townhouse etc etc arrangement, nor do we live in a small enough area to be classed as truly rural.

I am a little way north of Taupo.

A limey is what the Americans call or used to call the English. A pom is what the Aussies/Kiwis call the English, although it does actually refer to the convicts sent out FROM Britain TO Australia....... therefore in my opinion a POM is an Aussie! (Abbreviation of Prisoner of His Majesty, I think. There was a discussion on said subject on this very forum not so long ago - try a forum search).
