Love the hat, by the way. Are there more? Can we buy them?

Mrs Flibble! I'm going to call you Mrs Fibber  - after showing us those amazing mittens you knitted without a pattern.......

By the way I think that Shirlz is now the proud owner of the Self-Suffish hat!

Dear Old Tree Man,

I can't wait to see your hats. I do like fun hats.

Dear All,

I don't understand why those of us in cooler climates don't wear hats more often. Humans loose 1/3 of their body heat through their heads (slightly more for some gentlemen  ), so it makes sense to stay warm by wearing a hat. I don't understand people who won't because it apparently doesn't look good.

Related to this, if we are putting on an extra jumper instead of turning the heating up, maybe we should be practicing the same at night time. Don't have the heating on, wear pyjamas/nightdress/bed socks/night cap.

If anyone is interested here is a link to an American site selling caps and bonnets for religious people, best site for pictures I've found. Personally I like the look of their soft/night cap....

Because you need an extra wardrobe! My husband is a hat/cap freak and has so many of the damn things - they always end up congregating on the shelves in the cellar where I want to put apples and pumpkins! I put them back in the hall cupboard but he has to have a choice of at least ten right by the back door because he doesn't know which one he wants to wear that day! Grrrrr!

my hubby has a wooly thinsulate hat for going to work, and a rather natty black fedora which spent 3 months in the FGWR lost and found beford being offered to staff as a unclaimed item. it goes with his £4.80 wool coat (80p for the coat, £4 for the buttons to update it a bit and turn it from old man coat to young 20-something who wants to be warm coat).

there was a bit of a scramble for it aparently.
