Now look who's been bitten by that yogurt making bug
In John Seymore's book, it says that it is alot more difficult to make goats milk into cheese... I'd think it would be the same deal with yogurt, maybe it is more resiliant to the bacterium

I make yoghurt with both and I haven´t noticed any difference, but then I reduce the milk quite a lot in the first place and add (cow´s milk) cream, makes a greek style yoghurt and you still get that goats milk taste.

I have a cake recipe that calls for buttermilk, if you don't have any it says to use milk with a teaspoon of yogurt in it. Buttermilk pancakes are the best...
