I'm not planting anything at the moment - it's January and it's cold!

Having just worked out how much I spent on water during the drought last summer/autumn I am having a serious rethink of what I am going to plant. It will be a lot less. I intend to have some time to enjoy the summer and not get completely knackered and stressed out by watering for hours every day!

Haven't even finished digging over the veggie patch and muck spreading yet. It's either been frozen or raining or I just can't be bloomin' bothered! :flower:

P.S. Andy - Shiney's post about her wedding was stuck slap bang in the middle of another unrelated thread, just like this one. Such an off topic girl - shall we ban her?

Is that the first formal warning you are giving out M3? I think we can let her off this once.

Main topic: I am moving my veggy patch this year - and need to do a lot of preparation work as the site currently has a greenhouse, a seat and some shrubs in it! I want to grow some courgettes and maybe peppers as we eat a lot of these. I'd love to grow potatos, too.

Sub topic: Shiney, congrats!!! I hope you have a really HAPPY day...
Tigz x

This ARVO!! - I wondered where I'd got that one from - I've had lots of people on other forums wondering what I was on about when I wrote that. Should've guessed it'd be an Aussie abbrevo!

Well it seems that I am the lazy girl of the bunch. (as well as being led waywardly by Ina, going off topic)

I am going to make an effort within a week. Hold me to that you guys, I know that I will so much better when I have new stuff sown or planted.

Don't forget to hassle me!

I missed the big announcement too, Shiney. When is the big day? It sounds as if it will be lovely.

I have never understood the point of nearly bankrupting yourself on a horse and carriage, etc. Ours cost about £800 in all, although that was 16 years ago. We got married in a registry office, DH wore an old suit of his Dad's (!) did lunch for close friends and family (about 40 people) in a local restaurant, friends took the photos and video, another made the cake...we were not tight, just poor!!!

Sorry, I have got completely off the subject of the thread. We are planting nothing as the ground is like rock...Might sprout some seeds on the window sill though.
