Golly.. a reply already! thank you! we can't decide what to do.. we'd like a few chickens and to keep them free range at the bottom of the garden but can't decide whether to get electric fencing or a run to keep them safe from foxes if we're away overnight.

Hens are a pleasure to keep and very entertaining! Ours have a run but I let them out most of the time when I'm about. Touch wood, we've never seen a fox out here - no cover and easier picking elsewhere I guess.
