I'm just out of Melbourne, across to the East. More rain than Melbourne city (YAY!!!!) although it has been very dry in the last couple of months. Raining now though

Hi there, I visited Melbourne once, what a mad place! How do you grow anything in that climate? I visited 'the bush' but there were no bushes, no plants at all just sand rocks and snakes!

Welcome & good luck!

Hi Peggy Sue,

At least we're not in the top end where it's crazier than here. Not too bad though because the ground doesn't freeze; I'm close enough to the coast that we don't even really get frosts.

Just moved to a new rental with even more fruit trees, a greenhouse, and a HUGE yard. Now that it's raining again I feel invincible.

That was a ridiculous Christmas Kiwirach! I was fine all bundled up but submitted to the family and put the central heating on!

Didn't stop my Dad from hanging out in the backyard in the rain tending the firepit and the camp oven roast though.
