Hi Cav and welcome!
Bristol must be the place were telly people live - me very good friend lives there and she's a TV researcher - it is something in the water do you think?
Hope you have lots of fun here!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Yup, it's the official mag of Countryfile as well as other Beeb shows such as Coast, It isn't being green, Johnny Kingdom... basically anything to do with the countryside and living a more local greener life. Oh and there's an extract of Andy and Dave's book in the next issue. If it's not too much of a plug our website is http://www.bbccountryfile.com

That's how I came here to be honest. When I first heard about the Self Sufficientish Bible, I immediately contacted the publishers as it sounds so right for my mag. Then last week I met Andy and Dave when interviewing them for our podcast. I was so inspired that I knew I had to come along and join the forum as Self-sufficientishism sounded like my kind of thing. And you know what? It is!

I'm looking forward to hanging around here a lot! :)

Hi Milims,

Bristol's certainly a very cool and quite 'media' place to live, especially with the Natural History Unit here. But of course, I'm biased as I'm a Bristolian through and through...

My husband watches Countryfile religiously. I don't although I'm not sure why not - probably because I'm on the computer instead! I am following the bloke who is going to do the endurance ride though, and the family who are getting chooks.

Glad to hear Andy & Dave are going to be in your magazine! Maybe they'll be on the show one day?

Hi Cav!

I love Countryfile Programme - will have to check out the mag. My step mum came from a place called Fishpond, think that's Bristol-ish.

Welcome from a fellow newbie!

Judge Dredd, eh? I'm assuming you mean the film, which i have never seen, but I have been collecting the comics for years (which, for a 20 y. o. is pretty good going!)
