The Wee 'Un (five) phoned me from his Grandma's to tell me she was selling half her house to a duck who needed somewhere to stay when he was visiting her pond.
I said "Really?"
Hhe replied "Got you. April trick."
It turned out it was unprompted and he'd simply asked Grandad if he could phone me. Grandad said okay, so he did.
Cheeky or what.

Our chickens have an annoying habit of escaping and going into our neighbour's garden... so I guess David actually believed me when I went into the bedroom and said that every single one of them was running about in next doors garden scratching up their lawn... oh and the ducks and geese too.
He actually got out of bed without hestitation and put his outdoor clothes on and boots etc and was ready to go out the door when he saw the chooks in OUR garden. He didn't appreciate my efforts but J (my 4 year old) did

I had a few ideas, was going to say that Selfsufficentish was going to be a film. But did not get back from London until 2pm today, so missed out.
I did wind up my mate who's house I stayed at. I sent him a text saying " have you got any paint in the house? There was a small fire in the kitchen, can be cleaned up with a little paint I think"
He then phones me and nervously ask how his kitchen was I fessed up.

How's this for an April Fool's joke that should've been: we had an election.
Seriously, whoever decided to schedule the local Wisconsin election on April 1st was NOT thinking.
Oh, and the polling place I worked at (I'm an Elections Inspector) was in the garage of a fire station, every time they got a call we had to plug our ears and hope they didn't knock us over running to their trucks.
