Hullo esteemed members of selfsufficentish.com. Well I have to say this is really a wonderful site. I've just got an allotment in the north of london and am planning my first season of fruit and veg. It's all rather exciting really. I'm also keen to try out herbal remedies and making my own wine, I might have to pick a few brains round here, you all seem so knowledgeable!

Blimey! So many replies! Thank you all for your welcomes.
To answer you questions...
Ina. Not entirely sure why I called myself Mildew. I think it has something to do with me trying to be slighty quirky (and failing) and the fact that I'll probably end up catching every diesese in the lottie. Well, not me, my plants. And I think buying mildew resistant plants are going to be resistant to me now. Hmmm.
Chickenlady. I want to grow lots of things. At the moment I have shallots, garlic, gooseberry, broadbeans and rhubarb in the plot and about 5000 seeds to plant out soon.
