I would like to meet up - I'll be the one with filthy uncontrollable kids and husband - although he has expressed a desire to enter the sweat lodge for the week...and still keeps on about the female ejaculation meeting! I have a mobile, so texting me would be fine. Maybe we should have a regulation ish flag to wear about our person for those who don't text (or like me, those who forget to charge their phones???)

Or a hat with an ish flag sticking out of it...
My sister thought that to be a great idea - we want to get some of those straw-type cowboy hats for when it gets hot and sunny! So, her idea was to make an ish flag (another one...) and stick it out of the hat somehow.
So...if you see 2 hippy girls walking around, one with long purple hair and one with short hair, with ish flags sticking out of their hats, give us a prod!

oh thanks for that
thats that then, seems they want you to pay for the week or not come, unless you are a local, so we wont be there.
As we are on the road to self sufficiency.. and have livestock and growing veg to worry about - we can't be away for a week.... hmmm
something a tad ironic about that, if you think about it....
hope you have fun though, those of your that are going.

I think the problem with day tickets is that the day visitors were the only people there last year who were at all troublesome - bunches of drunk yobs turned up, and had a good go at ruining the peaceful atmosphere
And if you want to winge (rightfully) about the heavy prices, don't blame the festival organisers, blame the red tape all festivals are hamstrung by!
(I heard it mentioned that it easily doubles the ticket price)
It may also appear to a casual observer that a certain security company seems to be getting an inordinate amount of work from festivals, as part of the insisted upon packages now being agreed.............the same sort of favouritism granted to certain teapot manufacturers..........funny that!

unfortunately, what usually happens with festivals is they get too successful, hence the need for security etc, and the atmosphere is lost.
I hope that their policy on weekend and day tickets does the trick - and keeps the atmoshere they want
they say on their website
We want to preserve the feeling that people come for a week of participation rather than a weekend of hedonism (such puritans we are!).
personally, I'm next county local, thought it would be interesting, could meet with other ishers, and most of all gleen some information on eco-friendly products - in particular for the home - such as renewable energy etc, and am also interested in the farming/food/wool things.
does that qualify me as a drunken lout or hedonist?
However, don't get me wrong, I'm not narky or upset about it

they have made their decision, and I have made mine - , its not for me - and this decision is based on not having the time to spend more than anything else.

Red: have you tried emailing them? They might make an exception/u-turn if they realise that by not selling day tickets they're ostracizing those who have livestock.
