What music do you like and have you got any talent that would qualify you to be in the Ish Band?! He he

I like a lot of different types of music, anything from classical to jazz to folk to rock... - I used to play the piano, and the recorder. And when I was young and didn't know any better, I tried to learn the guitar (who didn't?), and had a few mandolin lessons. And now? My fingers are too stiff to play the way my brain tells me I should be playing, so it's very frustrating.

Well now... I used to be in a band when I was in my early 20s... ha, if you can call it that. We used to rehearse at studios in Manchester and drank copious amounts of alcohol much of that time... never did anything more than that. Mind you, at that time I was going out with the bass guitarist and then we fell out and I left... then the drummer stopped... and the keyboard player went into hospital with mental health problems.. sounds like the makings of a successful rockband I suppose, but hey.... that is where the similarity ends.

We all lost touch - I've moved around the country so much anyway it's been hard to keep in touch with any of the friends from my youth (shame) - although I have it on good authority that the bass guitarist and keyboard player did in fact make a go of it together in the end!

I also play guitar (and taught our bass guitarist how to play  ) but would LOVE to play the fiddle in the Scottish/folk style... one day... one day I will learn.

Musical tastes - are probably about as varied as they can be... John Lee Hooker, BB King, aretha franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Fats Domino, Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Led Zepp, Black Sabbath, Madonna, Kylie (yep !!), Bach, Beethoven, Carl Orff, Otis Redding, Bob Marley and ROBBIE WILLIAMS,,, oh and Robbie Williams too  - loads more... would be here all night if I was telling you about it all... I don't like rap music though

Lots and lots of music for me, primarily on bass. I'm in a hurry this morning but you can check out my band, The Elusive Teeth (a couple of forthcoming spots at open mic nights in South / South East London are detailed on the gigs page if anyone's around).

Somehow I'd guessed that!

Well, there's a start for our band then: You on the bass, and all of us others on the pot lids, dibber on upturned recycling bin etc...

I remember Stew mentioning that he occasionally strummed on guitar at the meet-up earlier this year. Actually, I think a theremin would suit him well!
