New Year Resolutions anyone?

Post: # 135871Post SarahJane »

Do you make new year resolutions? I usually do but never keep them but this year my OH has bought me an accoustic guitar ( which was what I asked for) and I have already been offered some free lessons. So that is my new years resolution.......

I had a guitar as a teenager but ended up selling it when I was short of money (you know how it is!) and never learnt to play it well, so this is mine....what are yours? :flower:

None really, but I do want to master(?) my concertina.
And my sax.
And finish my aromatology training.
And do the kitchen.
And not buy anything new for a year.

No resolutions then....

In the past, mine have always been the usual.... you know, lose weight, stop smoking, start saving, buy christmas pressies earlier, etc...

This year, it's a lot simpler.....

My New Year Resolution For 2009....
To try the best I can do......
This incorporates being the best Missus, the best Mum, the best Nan, the best feeding lady to the animals & the best hostess to any & all visitors..... (apart from the MIL  )

Apart from that, I'm not making any others - I usually forget mine sometime during February anyway
The more people I meet, the more I like my garden

Well seeing as I failed all of mine this year, better make them again....

1. Pass my driving test
2. Travel to Morocco
3. Not get pregnant.......(I have to admit that one was made as a jest last year, because at the rate at which my friends were having happy accidents, guess I was tempting fate...... )

3. Drink less booze.
4. Buy nothing new
5. Start up some anti plastic campaign.
6. Write more.

Just to get back to real life, make my own, grow my own, drink my own and live life once again.
Happy New Year to all my new friends on here. :hugish:
Lets do it, lets do our own. :thumbleft:

1. Shop less
2. Put less waste in the landfill bin
3. Keep going to the local ground force team I have joined and get back into the habit of going to three local forums
4. Be seen on the allotment at least 5 days a week from February to November
1 should help 2 I suppose with a bit of care on the packaging front whilst 3 and 4 should take up a lot of shopping time

Hmmmmmm.

Not stress about how much my in-laws drink (they're grown ups after all)
Relax more
Get the plots up and running
Try to be more tidy and organised
Actually get the gardening diary up and running
Hug my kids every chance I get

I did love Jo Brand's resolution and prediction on Jools Holland's Hootenany last night.
Resolution - Get fit
Prediction - I won't!

Happy New Year everyone

mine are really just a continuation of last years ones; to continue the lifestyle change thing. Will probably start applying for countryside type jobs after Easter and see what happens.

oh, and to drink even more. :drunken:
