i would like to commission something. I have a hubby who regularly gets covered in diesel/engine oil from trains. the way i get the smell out of his clothes is i add lots of vinegar to a pre wash then wash as normal.... the way he removes it from his hands is to use lemon wedges. he's not keen on the idea of using lemon wedges on his whole body though; and he gets covered on a regular basis.
what i need to commission is a lemon soap, preferably with an exfoliant and most definately with a high proportion of actual lemon juice if thats possible, and also a lemon shampoo bar. OR vinegar ones he can use before washing off in something prettier smelling.
I will pay in aloe vera plants, seeds (various), yarn, fabric scraps for patchwork or somekind of random crocheted object. believe me i will try to crochet anything, so just ask.
thanks!

You can't add acid to soap - lemon juice or vinegar because it reverses the saponification process - I know because I tried!
However, if you want a bar of scrubby soap I can help you out no problem. PM me your address and I'll send you a couple of bars, then you can send me whatever in return. Sound OK?

How about some vinegar in a dispenser to start the job then some nice scrubby stuff to finish it? Cider vinegar or something like that smells less than malt - BTW I'm not sure that non-brewed condiment stuff would be as effective as proper vinegar.
