Popped elderberry wine

Just took a l ook at the wine bottles in the garage and 2 had blown their tops it was the elderberry from 2008, so I brought it indoors to recork and thought better taste it no point in recorking vinegar and ...its bloomin lovely tastes like port, so do I recork it or drink it ? will it be OK do you think? not sure how long the corks have been out! :drunken:

it happend to me last year and it turned out to be just like yours, a really STRONG port so i drank it and drank it HIC :drunken:

Drink it. I love elderberry wine... Haven't found any (elderberries, that is) around here yet! But I've got raisin wine coming up - with a bit of luck that should taste port-ish, too.

Drink it... if the cork's been out for an undetermined length of time the wine will be starting to oxidise and will therefore go off soon, if you re-cork it you may end up with something like window cleaner by the time you next open it!
