Go and see them and see if they have any pallets or large containers for use as water butts.... or anything they chuck away that you could use (they often have to pay for stuff to be taken away and may be happy for you to take stuff instead). The factory that my hubby works for chucks loads of stuff away - and burns excess pallets if they don't get claimed....

Hi Tigz, its amazing what useful things get thrown away from the factories,in the past Ive got firewood (pallets, used packing wood and crates) fabric, from hoisery factories, wool from a dyeworks, shelving, shavings for my animals bedding and plastic containers of all kinds! We are a bit short of factories here but we do manage to collect pallets and there is the ever present tip that we visit weekly!
Now, what did I come in here for??????
