Sunflower seedlings?

Post: # 192741Post Nick69 »

Hi all,

I have some giant sunflowers and Big Red sunflowers growing at the moment indoors. The seedlings are all about 6" tall and have there first true leaves.
My question is, when can I plant them outside?

Im in Devon btw so a little warmer than the rest of the UK.

Hi,
They may need hardening off first, they will need a cane support aswell stop them falling over

I wouldn't put them out until you're fairly certain frosts are finished - unless you can protect them. Oh and if they get a bit sturdier, they'll be less of a slug magnet
