Lesser celandine (Ranunculus ficaria)

Post: # 228675Post Radu »

In Romania I am pretty sure this is the plant that people go crazy for every spring but I've been reading that it's toxic and noone actuall picks here in Luxembourg. What is your take on it? Do you pick and eat it or no?

Yes I pick the leaves because it's listed in all the edible wild plant websites I've ever read! We have it in salads, obviously I wouldn't make a whole salad of it  as I might be there all day picking  but with jack by the hedge, sorrel etc it's rather nice.
