not really sure what is happening there?

This new server is proving to be less than perfect, let me know if it continues. I am hoping it is just a hicup.

Could be a caching problem M3. The SQL error implies that it already has an entry for the search you're making, well the search_id anyway! Try clearing your web browser's cache.

I had that too a couple of days ago - it was only when trying to view posts since last visit!

I have hads this out with the hosting company. they are terrible it is a fault with them and not much we can do. I am looking into a dedicated hosting package. You might have also noticed an advertse here bit on the front page I am hoping that this will pay for it about £60 a month once - not sure if someone would pay for it but this is less than 1p per hit. when have that then we should stop having these problems, I did think that the last move would be ok, but alas they saw me coming.

It's not a problem Andy - if it happens once a month that's no big deal at all. The main thing is that the 'go-slow' I used to get regularly has gone - which is just as well, because there are so many posts these days it's hard enough to catch up even with fast speed!
