big green gathering 2007

Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

big green gathering 2007

Post: # 44245Post jonny2mad »

Anybody go to the big green gathering which is the biggest green event in the country is solar and wind powered , and usually has some good stuff on gardening and permaculture and what have you.

Ive stewarded it a number of time they give you mighty fine food cornflakes and soya milk was my favourite and ....a fine tee shirt and stewarding means you get your ticket for working so many hours .

I know its a bit early as its in august but a great event to go to

Thanks for the link. I wanted to go last year, but circumstances disallowed it.

However, it would be cool to go this year. I've posted your link on NEEPS and will try to drum up a coach trip between us all.

may I suggest the Chai Chapel as the place to meet up? - best chai on the site, and you can sit outside and watch the drummers and dancers! (at the entrance of the tipi field)

Well, closer to the date, we can arrange all sorts of things I expect. I'm dithering between going alone and having a real 'connect with women and talk about Ish-type stuff' and bring the family and hope they enjoy it.

it is a superb family holiday - the thing that really struck me was that all the kids there were NICE - attentive parents who didn't feed them junk! :cooldude:
Long-haul flight to somewhere exotic this year? - no thanks - give me the BGG any day!

Oh Martin, you know how to make a girl happy....

I love that picture so much. it's on my background on my PC at work, and every time i get a chance, i flick to it and have a gaze.

I'm thinking of getting it printed in a huge size for my wall...would you violently protest if i did?

Must take my camera this year - especially if there are going to be other ishers there!! And, i must not buy the Tipi, must not buy the Tipi...

I'm so excited...already...and the tickets aren't on sale yet...

I wanted to go to this soooooo badly but it clashes with a prebooked week near Bridlington with the whole family.

I don't suppose there is a Small Green Gathering to keep me going until 2008?
