we have recently started a campaign to build an ecological house and to support other people in green living.
Andy Hamilton asked us in his post in 'Links, links and more links' section to tell you more about the campaign so here it is.

Our dream is to live in an ecological house which will be fully energy self-sufficient and built only from environment-friendly materials. Also we want to support other ecology-minded people in their green living because we're sure that there are many people out there who would love to live more ecologically but are short of cash.
Having a dream is a great thing but to make it true is not that easy. The first problem is obviously lack of money. Kind a major one. So we decided to set up a web site where companies and individuals could show their own ads. They will get new visitors and customers and we'll get funds.
Because we want to support other people in ecological living as well there is another problem. How to distinguish people who are just after money from those who are serious about protecting our environment?
So, we set up some rules which are shown on our eco forum but basically they state that people will need to prove that they've bought some energy-saving bulbs, eco products and organic food products. Quite simple, isn't it. Plus our environment will benefit from this sales immediately.
It will not be possible to support all people so we're going to support only those who need it the most. How can we tell who needs it the most?
Well it will be kind of your job. Once we reach our target there will be a poll and the first 40 people with the most votes will get the financial support of £10,000 each.
We think that our campaign will attract many people, and that it will make a lot of people aware about ecological living and many will start to live more responsibly. Also the building of the eco-house will be monitored on the website so we'll share our experiences, tips and problems we might run into during the building process so you could avoid it.
