Recycling plastic

Post: # 65097Post multiveg »

My local council have just started kerbside plastic bottle collections for recycling. My mother's council takes plastic containers too.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6756559.stm says there is a problem with recycling plastic...

To my knowledge used nappies and plastic bags are recycled into plastic flower pots. :flower:

I believe that there are only two places in the world where sposie nappies are recycled, it is quite a labourious process, afterall they are a mix of paper, plastic and petroleum based gels.

I guess so is self sufficiency. Being labourous is not such a bad thing . As long as they are not putting smoke and toxins in the air whilst making these eco flower pots.I think it's a tremendous inovation though. People aren't going to stop using disosables so what choice do we have?
