Aberdeenshire chicken killer sought!!

Post: # 76774Post Stonehead »

I have two cockerels that were to be slaughtered, plucked, drawn and popped in the freezer this weekend. Unfortunately, I'm not a one-handed chicken plucker so I'm wondering if any of the Aberdeenshire folk can do the business for me.

I was going to have them for Christmas and New Year, but the chicken killer and plucker can have the New Year one in return for doing the deed. (We have two more cockerels to grow on so we can easily go halves with these two.)

Any takers? Everyone I've asked so far is either a vegetarian or too squeamish.

When I read the title - I thought, oh no, somebody is killing off Stoney's chickens now! Doesn't he have enough trouble already?

Anyway: although I'm vegetarian, I'm not too squeamish to pluck a chicken... But I've never done it! And I don't have time in the near future - totally busy next week including weekend. But if you still haven't found anybody after that, I'd be willing to do the deed - with you standing by and giving detailed instructions.

I had fun coming up with that heading!

It's also funny how many people turn out to be vegetarian when it comes to killing dinner...

Also do not laugh at the squeals...and that's from me not the cockerel!

Hi Stoney,

I like your title, and if I had an instant transporter I'd be there in a moment to help you sort those cockerels, I've done LOTS.

So here's my comment "Cobble Hill Chicken Killer Sought" works here as a friend of our neighbours is bringing in coonhounds this week to hunt down the beast that ate all but 2 of Patty's chickens and two of Frank's.

Mine, Thank God, have been left alone, but I use a small mesh wire and have a much more inpenetrable coop than the other neighbours.

Hope your recovery is going smoothly. Are you boing to be able to have the trike fixed or will you have to replace it?

 Lois

A bloke from Old Rayne popped over tonight and did the cockerels for us. I tried to help, but a one-armed plucker ain't much good!

Thanks, Andy.
