starwberry/herb planter - buy or make ??

Post: # 82234Post newbiemum05 »

Ok. So I want to grow some strawberries this year and was looking at planters (also thinking about one for my herbs)
But I don't like the prices LOL
Then looking on the net I found this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STRAWBERRY-BARREL ... dZViewItem

and thought this should be an easy thing to make, but any suggestions on what to use how to go about it would be gratefully received.

Or would I be better off just going for something like this:

thanks

WE had a use for plastic bags, take two bags put them together fill with compost poke 4 holes around the bag then plant your strawberrys through the hole into the bags and as they grow they hide the bag and you have a instant planter and hanging basket, we did this with all sorts of fruits and flowers.
hope this helps
