Is it me?

Post: # 103580Post marshlander »

I've been using the baskets from our old freezer to carry various items such as bottles to the recycling banks since before Chirstmas.

OH decides to tidy up the garage yesterday and asked me why I'd kept the baskets. It's ok I said, they're for recycling.

Went to the garage tonight, empty in hand, NO Baskets! OH has recycled them!! Is it me?

Ah, well. Sometimes I think one has to be a bit more explicit. Wonder which bin in the recycling lot they've been put in? :?

Erm - how come he hadn't noticed that they were being used to carry recycling? Does this mean that you are the one that does all the recycling - or is that, being a bloke, he wanders round with his eyes shut???

No, OH is quite good at recycling too - just he's a bit too keen. I've had to rescue my best jam jars more than once. I've tried keeping things in boxes but he then takes the box to be recycled too!

I now found I don't have a shredder bin in my office any more 'cos he 'borrowed' it on route back from the compost heap to carry some short lengths of cable to recycling - put the bin down beside the skip and forgot to bring it home

Funny thing is I have the devil of a job getting him to let go of boxes from things such as our new alarm clock 'in case it has to go back or we move' He also kept old car radios for yonks - 'in case he had a car that needed one'

Perhaps Ina, when I find something to put things in, I should make some large lables 'keep me' or the like.

Don't know whether that'll work - I keep leaving explicit labels and instructions for my (exclusively male) colleagues, they read them (if I'm lucky), and promptly ignore them!

Is that with or without the wine, Mrs. Flibble?

I'm fed up of living with other students!
