Mixed Fruit and Yoghurt with Seeds
This can be made without the seeds if you don’t have any, but seeds will make it a lot tastier and will set you up for the day. This is a tasty alternative to breakfast cereal.
Ingredients
- 200ml/g low fat, live yoghurt
- 1 largish handful of mixed seeds, such as –
sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, linseed or flaxseed
You can lightly toast these by putting them in a dry pan on a low flame for around 2- 3 minutes until they are golden brown.
At least two pieces of any of the following:-
- 1 or ½ banana
- 1 or ½ apple
- Half a cup of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries,
- 1 tangerine
- A couple of slices of pineapple
- A Plum
- A Pear
- (you get the idea)
Some like to add honey for sweetness or to have it with extra breakfast cereal to really keep them going as it’s not always enough on its own, muesli, oatflakes and Weetabix are all good additions.
