My soapnut sample arrived today - enough to do at least 10-12 washes!

did a whites and a coloureds and i am sooooooooooooooo impressed... didnt put any softener in either and clothes came out lovely, clean, fresh and soft!

Am def buying these and going to add ecover bleach for the whites!

Allen and Page

Allen and page do organic chook feed and its not much more expensve than the non organic. You should beable to order it from any feed merchant that deals with Allen and page/smallholders feed.

My chickens Ate the 2nd round of butternuts - after they devoured the 1st lot... so i quickly got them in the airing cupboard and a few days later they were ready to pot up.... planted 2 yesterday and the rest are still int eh green house getting bigger.

I didnt even plant mine outside - i just put the pots out and within days the leaves were eaten!!!! They must get hot in the sun - being plastic. I know my wooden house gets warm enough. You would also have to be careful about the size of chooks you put in. I know 2 of my speckledy's wouldnt fit in, though 2 of my tiny black rocks would.

Hmmm I think you can get alot more for you money than an Eglu. Dont get me wrong they are a great design but again and again you see these things on ebay - without the shade cover because it got torn (easily)... without the run - because people got rid of it as they thought it was too small etc etc....

Have you tried putting them on some kitchen paper on a dish - put cling film over and then put in a warm dark cupboard???

Thats what i would do to get them going and then pot up.
