Re: sewing machine *sob*

If you see any Elna for sale maybe try one of those. I've got one and it's got a lovely even smooth motion. Mine's basic but very sensible if you know what I mean, it feels like a seamstress designed it rather then someone who thought seams in the shape of little ducks would be really useful. I hear...

Re: So...Very...Hot...

Mrs. F., With your sewing skills you should be able to run them up in 30 minutes. I'm an odd size too so I made them with draw strings. One other tip if you're making them, cut the body part a tad short. That way they're hipsters and are low enough to not interfer with the waist of regular ...

Re: So...Very...Hot...

For the ladies out there I've made a wonderful discovery that makes high temperatures a lot more comfortable: If you're of a plump disposition you'll find that the top of your legs rub together when you wear a skirt and that it can be very uncomfortable indeed. To solve this I got a Simplicity pater...

I'm not a Pagan (can you guess from the name?), but I like Pagan ideas so can I join in with you?

Re: Eating Snails

Oh, that's another thing, do you forage for them because they're slow, or do you hunt them because they're an animal not a plant.

Re: Eating Snails

Thanks guys. I'm gonna have to be careful in which ones I pick up. I've eaten them before in restaurants and they just taste of whatever they've been cooked in/with so I was hoping to use them as free meat for rissottos and soups (I also thought it might be nice revenge for the way they attack my al...

Re: Eating Snails

Thank you MKG, you confirmed what I though.

Where did you read this, I'd like to give them a go but don't know how long to starve them for or how to kill, clean or gut them.

Re: People's reactions to what we see as "normal"

I don't see why those who don't share our life style can't just accept the difference as a differnet type of normal. Take my best friend for example, she's a wizzy business woman who wears suits all the time and enjoys going shopping at the weekend. She's abit flumoxed by my interests but becuase sh...

Re: People's reactions to what we see as "normal"

Dear Masco&Bongo, now I know how I'm going wrong with my compost, thank you. I shall dance naked round it tonight. Most of our friends are quite like us but many of my workmates are a little flumoxed. I'm still learning to drive, oh, and I said if I did pass we'd still only have one car. That ca...
