Hey Sarah Jane - as you know I definitely need to lose an ounce or million!
However I'm not going to diet with you - I'm certain the size I am now is largely due to dieting. I'm really good at it for a few weeks and lose weight quite well, but every time I've reverted to my usual eating pattern I've put back on more weight than I've lost. Your classic yo-yo dieter.
Over the last 3-4 years I've stopped dieting, and started to change my eating habits on a more permanent basis - my weight has gone down slightly, but largely has remained stable. Last year was a bit of a bust though - with mother moving in our diet has changed to accommodate her.
So, I will support you by getting back to my own, healthier style of eating - swap recipes etc.
My main aim is to get more exercise - when I was on my own for a few months my weight dropped because I only ate what I wanted, when I wanted and I got loads more exercise because I had to do everything for myself, and didn't have anyone to distract me. I'm not blaming anyone (not even me) - it just happens before I've realised, then easier to continue.
So, you're right, time for action.
