Zoe, you're a gem and if ever you're up this way, you must pop in for a cuppa. A big thankyou from all of us.

No worries - I hope it helps. Oh and don't you worry. I quite intend to pop in at some stage. Can't wait to see the place (and you all) for real.

Cheers
Zoe

Don't apologise. Lots of little bits are better than one person giving a huge wedge. It means a lot more as it shows many people care.

As it is, we're just about there for repairing and replacing the kit, but I'd like to raise a bit more to pass back to the Cyclists Defence Fund (run by the CTC) as they provide free legal advice to cyclists in the same position as myself.

Thanks.

What are the chances of getting some paid help? Even if it's just someone to pick up the kids and do a bit of cooking and cleaning to give Mrs S some more time. I really do feel a bit useless down here but I'd happily make a contribution if it'd help. Do you have a paypal account?

You don't know how close to the truth you were!

We had to move pigs today, through mucky, slimy, sloshy mud. That was interesting and smelly, but worse was to come.

Our drains backed up and needed rodding. Normally my job, but despite trying one-handed, I couldn't do it without feeling faint due to shoulder pain.

So, the chore fell to the Other Half. Guess who got backwash all over her? :pale: :pale: :pale:

We did find some nice smelling exfoliating scrub in the back of a cupboard - we don't normally buy this sort of stuff so it was a major relief to find it.

I've managed to do some one-handed chopping and crushing with the mortar and pestle, so she's getting veggie curry for dinner with a bottle of chilled lager as a special thankyou.

Three or four weeks of treats like that and I might, might make it back into the good books!

I sent a wee bit too - wouldn't have posted here but i forgot to send a message, and all the emails that I've sent to you recently don't appear to have made it through.

Anyway... glad to hear that the sense of humour hasn't been affected and I hope that they get the *insert expletive of your choice here* very soon.

Shirlz, I have repied quite a few times, along the lines of drop by any time you're in the area. I'm here most of the time. I've also asked a couple of other people to pass the same message on.

Well bah humbug! This is the first time I have encountered any problems paying with a UK credit card. Your system doesn't like it because I live in France and it can't cope! I'm not enamoured by putting my phone no. in anyway - never been asked for that before - why would it want to know that?

Can I send you a cheque?

People in Canada, the US and Australia have had no problems.

Although I've just discovered I can't actually withdraw the money from PayPal as their form won't accept our joint account name (too long and it includes an ampersand). And if I input it slightly differently, it won't be an exact match so I'll get charged a rather large fee when it's rejected. GRRRR.

Just trying to get it sorted.

I don't expect the people in other countries are trying to pay with a UK credit card though. That's how I always buy things from UK. :?

Hello,

How can I pop a little in your paypal account if I don't have a paypal account? Mr. QB won't let me sign up for one as he says the government are watching. Thanks.

You can use credit/debit cards.

But is the government watching them too?

Yep, which is why I'm not allowed to use them either. He was abit grumpy when he found out I'd signed up to this forum as well. But now it's done it can't be undone
