Just starting out on the whole growing my own thing - successful crop of cherry tomaties last year doesn't really count. Not a lot of ground, so I'm going to have to be inventive!
Following in the footsteps of Tom, I removed all the gravel and paving from the front garden last autumn, and will be starting out with peas and beans (can you grow them horizontally? - very windy round here), and lots of things in pots.
Front garden south facing, so am adopting a "lowering the tone" attitude. There'll be a car up on bricks in no time.
Partner of the "It's me or the chickens" viewpoint at the moment, so no livestock (maybe I could try milking the cats?)
