next town, then changed our minds and went to a completely different town. We stopped and shopped, treated our son to a Mac and drove back cross-country in the beautiful sunshine.
Coming out of the wood and crossing the road infront of us was the sorriest looking dog I have ever seen. We continued to drive for a few mins when I said I had to go back and see if it was OK - hubby was pulling into layby to turn round anyway! When we got back and I approached she just laid on the road before me. She is so skinny it makes the dogs in the RSPCA ads seem positively obese. Hubby put her in the back of the van and we bought her home. We have named her Stella after our favourite beer! My other dogs have been marvellous with her, something I had been worried about as 1 of them isnt good with other dogs.
She doesnt smell too good even after a bath! One of her eyes is cloudy and waters a lot. She was probably a hunt dog and we think she looks like she might have Beagle in her. She had enuf strength today to wag her tail at me - which makes it worth while!
The photos dont show the extent of her weight loss - its totally horrific!
