Re: Is this a puffball?
Thank you Davie. When we cut it open, it had a neon yellow undercarriage. Which was a bit off putting!

I wanted to decorate a carrot cake so had a go at making candied carrot. The first attempt could have broken my teeth...boiled carrot sweets. The second attempt Candied carrots.jpg was just about there, should have left them a bit longer though but the cake did look nice. Wondering what else I could...

Elderberries......does anyone have any good recipes?
I've been given a recipe for Eldreberry tincture. Wondered if anyone could recommend any other good things to do with them? The pic below is of my second batch of Elderflower cordial (pic attached), I never worked out why a jelly fish like matter appeared in the first but we drank it anyway. It was ...

Feel a bit bad about 'scalping' it, flowers still at the top though. Put a lot of lemon in todays batch...tastes lovely but ...

Re: Hello everyone
Thank you everyone. Really kind of you to say hello and share your thoughts and ideas. Well, no explosions as yet. The first batch tastes really lovely but has a sediment that looks a bit like a jelly fish floating in the middle of the bottles (it isn't putting anyone off anyway). The second batch i...

Hello everyone
I'm new to this site and have really enjoyed reading up about everything. Although I am a little worried about the 7 litres of elderflower cordial exploding in the bottles I didn't steralise today. They are in the fridge but I'm not feeling so pleased with myself now!
