So what about the NHBC guarantee

i think he;s accepted he wont get certification. basically if it's in woodland it will have clauses set by the local council stating that it can't be passed on, can't be mortgaged and can only be standing if the licensee (person who built it) is living in it, so when he dies or moves on, it will have to be destroyed.

Hello there ,

yeah looks nice , but he built it for 3000 ? what 3000 1000 ? No way for so little money to build it , look at the glass
in the windows , the shapes , that would cost 3k , further the details could not be made by anyone with no experience ,
it would also not be safe to live in , construction calculations for the roof load and fire regulations would have to be considered,
and then the army of civil servant's would have to give their approval .
Would be nice if it was possible to do such a thing though ,

For good reasons, they don't like people building houses in the open countryside. Having recently got permission to build in the woods after a 3 year process of proving that we have a viable business that requires residence, we would discribe the rules as well-intentioned but overly beaurocratic.
