Tips for Flat and Rented House Dwellers

housesOne of the heart-felt beliefs of self sufficient ish is that the good life should be open to all, even if you live in a tiny rented bedsit in Wigan.  Myself (Andy Hamilton) and Dave Hamilton, the founders of this site, both live in rented houses. When the site was first set up I lived in a tiny shoebox of a first floor flat in the middle of a city.

All you need is a small area of earth to garden in - this could even be a yougurt pot on a windowsil. To the left you will see articles that have been written specifically with people like you in mind.

Miscallaneous Tips

Andy Hamilton and a yellow submarineAll those tips that don't fit anywhere else will be found here, much of the tips are to do with aspects of self sufficiency that you won't first associate. This is because it is our take on self sufficency. Quitting smoking is a prime example you don't smoke you lessen the dependance on someone else growing for you. Also herbals and natural remidies can be found here, in time they might have a space of there own.
