Find a new bolt for my strimmer?
I've been a bit of a prat and dropped the reverse threaded bolt from my Ryobi petrol strimmer line holder and, despite a Met Police style fingertip search of the grass, have failed to find it!!! I've tried searching the web and scoured all our local DIY style stores but all to no avail. Any suggesti...

Re: didn't know where to put this post
We had an access problem and couldn't set traps in the required area so, with a great deal of scepticism, we bought a sonic rat/mouse repeller. We have it positioned under the area of the ceiling where the night time scratching was most prevalent and it has appeared to work!! A little more pricey th...

Re: Bottle cleaning
Thanks for all the possible solutions, in the end it was down to an accidental discovery of leaving the bottles submerged in the steriliser liquid for quite a few days. I did this because as always I was distracted elsewhere! When I got down to it, most of the stuck on stuff just fell off with a wip...

Bottle cleaning
I'm making some home brew and have managed to buy a good few old brasserie style bottles (the ones with the ceramic flip tops). They must have been sat in someones barn for a good few years as the rubber washers have all perished and welded themselves to the bottles and the tops! Have been sat scrap...

Planting Peach Stones
My very kind neighbour has given me two types of peach stones and I would love to grow them espalier fashion. If possible I would like some useful tips on planting the stones, any actions one would take other than bunging them straight in the soil?

Change from "How" to "Why Do I?" on breadmaking machines
Breadmaking machines. just got one secondhand and all the recipes seem to recommend the use of powdered milk in the mix. Can anyone shed any light as to why and, also, if it's really necessary? Have made bread the manual way and have never used dried milk.
